AT at Davenport Gap

Davenport Gap is named for William Davenport, a native of North Carolina and leader of the party which surveyed the North Carolina and Tennessee state line through the Smokies in 1921.

This portion of the Appalachian Trail is the southernmost Interstate crossing.  (I know,  I know - big deal  - obviously, I ran out of pretty pictures!)
